Many parent do not realize that most of the mainstream programs for troubled teens are owned and operated by Mormons and impart their religous ideals. Many others employ a new age spirituality in their programs. If you are concerned about your troubled teen not getting more confused and buying into the philosophy of moral relativism then you need to know which programs are authenticaly Christian and more importantly Catholic!
We have done our research and come up with a screening process and criteria to ensure correct information about which troubled teen programs are Catholic/Christian in their philosophy and in their approach to helping struggling teens get on the right path and reset their moral compass.
As a New web site, we are just getting started helping Catholic Parents find the help they need for their troubled teens, thus far we have two programs that have met our criteria for being truly Catholic in every element of their Programs. The first Program is Mount Carmel Youth Ranch. Mount Carmel Youth Ranch is a Catholic Therapeutic Boarding School and Youth Ranch For troubled teenage boys ages 12-17, they have over 20 years of proven success in turn sturggling young mens lives around. The foundation of the Mount Carmel Youth Ranch program is built on Christian Principles and they treat ever at-risk young man with dignity and love.
Visit the About Mount Carmel Youth Ranch page to learn more about this Catholic Program for Troubled Teens.
The Second Program We found that met our criteria is Beartooth Mt Ascent. The are a Catholic program for young men ages 18-26.
Beartooth Mountain Ascent is operated by a Catholic family that
stresses the importance of practicing the Christian virtues within every
facet of social life. Many young men who have attended their program had
preconceived notions of religious devotion prior to their arrival,
often associating spirituality with hypocrisy. The incorporation of
prayer and weekly mass into their curriculum will make the young man aware
that the church pews in Clark, Wyoming are filled with the rugged
cowboys he works with side by side, each day, in the corrals. They State "We
believe that the recovery process begins when the young man surrenders
to his “higher-power” and starts to engage with role models that
demonstrate the admirable characteristics of honesty and moral
integrity."
